CHARLESTON, WV – West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW) is proud to announce that Dominique Ranieri, Airport Director & CEO, has been named the recipient of the 2024 Susan Dew Hoff “Business or Professional Job Pioneer” Award by the West Virginia Women’s Commission (WVWC). This award celebrates Ranieri’s groundbreaking leadership and contributions to the aviation industry, honoring the pioneering spirit of Susan Dew Hoff, West Virginia’s first licensed female physician.
The Legacy of Women Awards, presented by the WVWC, recognize exceptional women who have made significant contributions to the state and serve as inspiring role models for future generations. These awards are named after remarkable women in West Virginia’s history, each representing a different facet of achievement and influence.
The 2024 Legacy of Women Awards ceremony will take place on August 16, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston. This event coincides with West Virginia Women’s Equality Day, commemorating the anniversary of women gaining the right to vote.
Ranieri is the first woman to lead West Virginia International Yeager Airport. Her tenure has been marked by significant enhancements to air service at CRW, including the introduction of new entrant Breeze Airways. She oversees the daily operations of West Virginia’s largest commercial airport, which generates over $225 million in economic impact. Her leadership exemplifies the pioneering spirit celebrated by the Susan Dew Hoff Award.
